Let’s work together to achieve your best health
I was drawn to being health-conscious after years of chronic pain and digestive issues. I was looking for a way to play a more active role in my recovery, as I found that many of the treatments I sought during this time offered only short-lived results and would sometimes make me feel worse in the long-run. Seeing multiple specialists for individual issues became very expensive and I knew that I wasn’t learning any skills to really support myself and take control of my health.
It was when I was diagnosed with endometriosis that I lost a lot of faith in the system that I was hoping would support me. I was recommended invasive tests, surgery and medications that would put me into a chemically-induced menopause. I was so shocked that when it came to my reproductive health, my doctor had so little to offer me. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure that we were in agreement about what was a “positive outcome”. Each option felt like a further assault to my health and I felt totally disempowered and unsupported.
This experience was central to shaping the way I feel about the work that I do. It’s my goal to work alongside women to support them in their health journeys and offer alternative options to manage hormonal symptoms, treat PCOS, transition safely off hormonal birth control, establish regular ovulation and prepare to conceive naturally, either now or in the future.
Your body is not like any other woman’s body and you deserve care that is specific to your needs. This is why, rather than matching a diagnosis with a medicine, I work one-on-one with each of my clients to address the cause of her symptoms, to help her reach her health goals.
